1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a paid Kael subscription ("Kael Plus"). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Kael is operated by Scaleswift Digital Services LLP and Epic Merch LLC (together, "we," "us," or "our").

Kael offers a free tier that lets you use the core experience at no cost. Kael Plus is an optional paid upgrade, billed on a monthly or yearly basis, that unlocks additional features. Because a free tier is available before you pay, we encourage you to try Kael first to decide whether Plus is right for you.

2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with Kael Plus, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase, for any reason. This applies to your first payment on a new subscription, whether monthly or yearly.

Once your refund is approved, your Kael Plus access ends and your subscription is cancelled, so you will not be charged again.

3. Subscription Renewals

Kael Plus renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We send a reminder before an annual subscription renews, so you have time to cancel if you no longer want it.

Renewal charges are generally non-refundable after the 30-day window described in Section 2. However, if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend, or you had not used Kael Plus during the new period, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will review your request in good faith.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel Kael Plus at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at hello@kaelai.life. Cancellation stops all future charges. It takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep access to Plus features until then. Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund of the current period, but you may still request one under this policy.

5. Free Trials

If we offer a free trial of Kael Plus, we will tell you the trial length, the price that applies afterward, and how to cancel. You will not be charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any time before it ends to avoid being billed. If you do not cancel, the trial converts to a paid subscription and the standard terms of this policy apply from that point.

6. Purchases Through the App Stores

If you purchased Kael Plus through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store processed your payment, and its own refund rules apply. In that case, please request your refund directly through Apple or Google, as we are not able to issue refunds for purchases we did not process. We are happy to help you find the right path if you are unsure where you bought your subscription.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at hello@kaelai.life from the email address associated with your Kael account and include:

The email address on your Kael account
The approximate date of the purchase or charge
Whether you are on a monthly or yearly plan
A brief reason for the request (optional, but it helps us improve)

We aim to acknowledge every refund request within 2 business days.

8. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refunds are typically processed within 5 to 10 business days, though the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card provider. Any taxes collected at the time of purchase are refunded together with the payment where required by law.

9. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence, including any statutory right of withdrawal for consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom. Where those rights give you more than this policy does, those rights apply.
